Butterflies and Easter
What do butterflies and Easter have in common? Well, both are at the beginning of Spring and they both represent renewal. Fresh, new beginnings.
Butterflies are incredible and amazing creatures. They are a symbol of changing. They start out as worms, not so cute, not so beautiful. But then, at a certain time in their life, they must go through a change. Their bodies transform through a miraculous process and turn from a grounded, fat worm into a light, beautiful creature that flies. It looks nothing like its former self. The same thing happens to us when we let Jesus into our hearts. He transforms us from the inside and eventually, our outside reflects that light from within.
As we approach Good Friday, I like to take this time of year to reflect on the greatest gift we have ever been given: a chance to renew who we are into what we can be through the precious gift of the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ. He gave himself completely and totally, without reservation, to enable us to have a relationship with our Creator. What greater love is there than that?
Have a happy Easter! >^,,^<
