Human Relations #10

Human Relations Rule #10 - Be alert to give service. What counts most in life is what we do for others.

This rule kind of sums up all ten rules into one. All the human relations rules are actually common sense, but that seems to be missing from the forthcoming generations. I have witnessed those that do nothing but complain about how bad their life is, but are unwilling to change their 'why should I help someone else, nobody helps me' attitude. On the other hand, I have witnessed the complete opposite. I know many people who are happy people with smiles on their faces who go out of their way to help others. I've seen these same people in need and get those needs met, usually by the people they've helped. Giving does not necessarily involve money, being kind does not cost a dime, only our time. Simple giving and giving back makes for a great community.

Everyone needs a helping hand at times. We are not meant to carry our burdens by ourselves. If we keep our eyes open and see a need, we should step forward and fill that need. That kindness will eventually come back around to when you have a need, it will be fulfilled, somehow.

So, smile, be kind, be gentle, lend a hand when needed. That kind of kindness is contagious to all those around you and could possibly change the world. It all starts with you! As Ghandi said, "Be the change you want to see!"
